For this year's London Design Festival, we collaborated with Marina Willer to create an exhibition of expressive, playful sketchbooks, each featuring an original artwork made from colourful stickers that form intricate compositions.
The sketchbooks were on display at the Design Museum in London throughout the 2025 London Design Festival. Visitors were encouraged to create their own compositions in the Museum's playground area—this proved extremely popular, with people of all ages having fun making patterns with stickers. The sketchbooks went on sale after the festival, alongside some larger artworks by Marina, with all funds raised donated to CHOOSE LOVE, which supports women and children in war zones.
Marina Willer, RDI, is a graphic designer, filmmaker and partner at the leading, independent design studio Pentagram. Her collaborative and playful approach, combined with a passion for craft and experimentation, runs through both her client and personal work, and has led to creative collaborations with the likes of Ally Capellino, Richard Rogers, Tate, the Natural History Museum, and many more.
She is also well-known for her expressive and playful sketches using colourful stationery stickers. The habit became more serious during lockdown as a way to compensate for the monotony of working on screens. Since then, Marina's sticker art has begun to appear everywhere, including lamp posts, electricity boxes in Hackney, ping-pong tables, bats, and sketchbooks of all formats.
